Initial Driver CPC Course
This CPC training course option is a legal requirement for anyone who passed their car driving test after January 1997 and is now looking to drive for financial gain. It is also required for drivers who gained their LGV licence for: Cat C, C1, CE and C1E after 10th September 2009 to take this course once.
You will need to pass all four modules to gain this qualification.
*The candidate will be asked questions about certain topics such as load restraints and asked to demonstrate their knowledge e.g. using a ratchet strap you must show the examiner how it works and how they would use it to secure a load.
If you passed your car driving license before January 1997, or you passed your LGV License before 10th September 2009, you will be deemed to have this qualification under "Grandfather rights" and won't need to take this course. You will still need to complete 35 hours of Periodic CPC Training every five years - Option 2
