Theory and Hazard Perception Training Course Details
When you have completed your medical and the provisional categories have been added to your driving licence, you can move on to the theory and hazard perception training tests which are part 1a and 1b, respectively. You can take the theory and hazard perception training tests in any order, on the same day or separately.
The theory test is made up of 100 multiple-choice questions, and the pass mark is 85%. You will have 115 minutes to complete the theory test.
The hazard perception test has 19 real-world video clips with 20 scoreable hazards, which you must identify by clicking the mouse as the hazard begins to develop. You can score between 1 to 5 points for each hazard depending on how quickly you react to it. One clip will have two hazards. The other 18 will only have one. The test lasts for around 25 minutes.
