LGV/HGV Training - New Fast Track C+E License Course
Becoming a LGV/HGV Class 1 Driver and gaining access to the higher driver earnings has just become easier.
From the 15th November, 2021 changes to LGV/HGV Licenses and Tests mean that you can now learn to drive in an articulated lorry (Cat CE) and take your test in a large articulated lorry without having to pass one in a large rigid lorry (Cat C) first.
When you pass your test in a large articulated lorry, you're then allowed to drive:
a medium-sized lorry (C1)
a medium-sized lorry towing trailer (C1E)
a large rigid lorry ( C)
a large articulated lorry (CE)

Category CE Articulated Training
Gaining our Category CE Articulated Training course to drive these vehicles is a challenging but rewarding accomplishment.
Category C Training
Commonly referred to as Class 2 or Rigid, gaining the Category C LGV Training means you can drive an LGV with a rigid chassis.
Initial CPC
The case studies and mod 4 tests are part of the initial CPC - something which all new LGV drivers must complete before they can drive an LGV for commercial gain.
Medical D4
Medical D4 consists of an eyesight test using a snellen chart, blood pressure checks to ensure your BP meets DVLA criteria and a questionnaire regarding your medical history.
Theory & Hazard Perception Training
When you have completed your medical and the provisional categories, you can move on to the theory and hazard perception training tests.

Off Road Exercises Training and Test
Off Road Exercises, Training and Test (3a Test).
35 Hour Periodic CPC Test
5 Day Online Periodic CPC.
Passed after 1st January 1997
Starter Pack
Medical with doctor.

Cat C+E Course Training

Off Road Exercises, Training and Test (3a Test).
CPC Module 4 Training and Test
This is a requirement for all commercial Category C/C1 drivers who passed their car test after 1996.
You will get a 4-hour training course followed by the Module 4 practical demonstration test.
